Quest for portraying atmosphere:

How do you paint on canvas the fleeting emotion that hits you upon hearing music, for example?

For me it remains a challenge to evoke an atmosphere, to portray an emotion on canvas.

Images, dreams, words, various media on paper, panel, canvas, once the switch is turned the creative thinking keeps flowing....Abstract painting feels like an inner journey.

Sometimes I am surprised how the work evolves, as if it has a life of its own.

What I find fascinating about non-figurative painting is the deeper layers, the unexpected, the movement and music.

If it succeeds in touching an observer I find the work successful.
